Jennifer was born in Lodi, CA.  Growing up, her parents, Bernie and Julie Vigil, made it their mission to take their family to church every Sunday, guiding her walk with Christ.  She graduated from San Francisco State University as a Magna Cume Laude with a BA degree in theater and also carries two associate of art degrees (Communications and Humanities).
After meeting in 2011, her future husband, Dan, introduced her to a local Christian radio station, KYCC, as it was always playing on his car radio.  For about the first decade of their marriage, they served as volunteers for KYCC, and in 2023/2024 trained and became weekend on-air hosts.
One of her biggest accomplishments?  Helping to raise Dan’s three children, Brianna, Daniel Jr., and Amelia.  They were only 8, 5, and 3 when she married their father, and it was pure joy to her with helping to instill in them the values that she herself was raised with.  The best part?  She was never “Stepmom (eye roll)” to them–she was simply their “Jennibear.” Along with their three children, she also strived to take an important role in her niece, Leigha’s, formative teen years, who is flourishing and currently training to become a helicopter pilot.
In 2018, Dan and Jennifer co-authored the faith-based book, The Knucklehead’s Guide to Marriage. They enjoy speaking at churches, and offer free marriage workshops.
